Open HoodLock's My locks page with the wallet that owns the lock. An expired lock shows as Unlocked; withdraw it in one transaction and the full amount returns to your wallet. There's no withdrawal fee, only gas.
HoodLock is a token locker on Robinhood Chain. A lock holds a token until one unlock time, then releases the whole amount at once; HoodLock also offers linear vesting schedules. For background, see what HoodLock is.
How to withdraw an expired HoodLock lock
These steps follow HoodLock's own documentation.
- 1Open My locks in the HoodLock app, connected with the wallet that owns the lock.
- 2Find the expired lock. It shows as Unlocked.
- 3Withdraw it and confirm the transaction. It takes one transaction, and the full amount returns to the owner wallet.
- Who can withdraw: the lock's current owner. If ownership was transferred, the new owner withdraws, not the original creator.
- When: as soon as the unlock time passes. There's no grace period and no deadline.
- Cost: network gas only. HoodLock charges no withdrawal fee.
- Unlock dates only move later. A lock can be extended, never shortened, so the date shown is the earliest you can withdraw.
HoodLock vesting: claiming as it releases
HoodLock vesting schedules release linearly between a start and an end date, after an optional cliff. Nothing is paid out automatically: the beneficiary sends a claim transaction whenever they choose, and unclaimed amounts keep accumulating with no expiry. HoodLock charges no fee on claims, and no HoodLock function can cancel or edit a schedule once it's created. One risk to know about: if the token itself can pause transfers or blacklist addresses, the token's owner could block a claim, and HoodLock can't override that. Source: HoodLock's vesting docs.
