How to Claim Hedgey Vesting and Lockup Tokens (2026)

A Hedgey grant is an NFT in your wallet, and the tokens behind it only move when you claim. Here's how to claim a Hedgey grant step by step, including from a Safe, and why a grant might not appear.

🎟️The short version

Open app.hedgey.finance, click Token Grants, connect your wallet, find the grant under Received Grants, click View Details, then Claim. Claiming releases everything that has vested so far. Whoever holds the plan NFT is the one who can claim.

Hedgey represents each vesting or lockup plan as an NFT. The NFT points to the schedule held in Hedgey's contract, and whoever holds it can claim. On-chain the claim is called redeeming a plan. For the full model, see how Hedgey NFT vesting plans work.

How to claim a Hedgey grant

These steps follow Hedgey's recipient walkthrough, as published in the ENS distribution guide.

  1. 1Open the Hedgey app and click Token Grants in the left-hand panel.
  2. 2Click Connect Wallet and choose the wallet that holds the grant.
  3. 3Find your grant under Received Grants and click View Details.
  4. 4Click Claim and confirm the transaction in your wallet.

Claiming releases everything that has vested at that moment. Anything still vesting stays in the plan and can be claimed later.

Claiming from a Safe

If the grant is held by a Safe multisig, click View on Safe instead. The Hedgey grants app has to be added to your Safe as a custom app first, and the claim then goes through your Safe's normal signing flow.

Why a grant might not appear

  • The NFT moved. Plans are transferable NFTs. If the NFT was sent to another wallet, that wallet now claims.
  • Wrong chain. Hedgey deploys the same contracts on many chains. Switch network in the app.
  • It was revoked. On revocable vesting plans, the granting project can revoke. What had already vested stays yours to claim; the unvested remainder returns to the project.
  • It's fully claimed. When a plan is completely redeemed, its NFT is burned, so it no longer appears.

Unclaimed Hedgey grants are common

In Vestream's study of finished vesting schedules, about 4 in 10 finished Hedgey plans still held unclaimed tokens, and more than 8 in 10 of those had never been claimed at all. Counting only tokens that still trade, that was about $2.3M across 1,080 plans. If you've had grants from DAOs or projects, it's worth checking.

Paste any wallet into Vestream's free wallet scan to see every Hedgey plan it holds across Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism and Berachain, with what's claimable now. You claim in the Hedgey app; Vestream finds the plans and can alert you before the next unlock. Upcoming releases are on the Hedgey unlock tracker.

Hedgey claim FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between claiming and redeeming on Hedgey?

They're the same thing. The app calls it claiming; the contract function is called redeeming a plan.

Does claiming a Hedgey grant end my vesting?

No. Claiming releases only what has vested so far. The rest keeps vesting and can be claimed later.

Can I delegate the votes on a Hedgey grant?

Yes, for governance tokens. Open the grant, click Delegate and enter the wallet that should vote. You keep the tokens; only the voting power moves.

Why did my Hedgey NFT disappear?

Either it was transferred to another wallet, or the plan was fully redeemed, which burns the NFT.
